Land Clearing

Land Clearing and Grubbing in Coeur d’Alene

A wooded North Idaho parcel needs more than a chainsaw before it can be built on. Benbijnsdorp clears trees, brush, and undergrowth, then grubs the stumps and roots out below grade so they do not rot, settle, or resprout under a slab. We haul the debris off or mulch it on site, and we finish with a rough grade that already sheds water toward a planned outlet.

Why Grubbing Matters

Cutting a tree at ground level leaves the root ball behind. As it decays it leaves a void, and the ground above it sinks. Grubbing pulls the stumps and major roots so the pad stays stable. On lots near Rathdrum with heavy timber, we pair clearing with erosion control, setting silt fence on the downhill edge so cleared soil does not wash toward the road or a wetland.

Our Process

We call 811 to locate any buried lines, mark the limits of clearing, and protect the trees you want to keep. Then we clear, grub, and haul, strip and stockpile the topsoil for reuse, and cut a rough grade with proper drainage slopes. The result is a clean, gradeable lot in the 83814 area ready for the foundation crew.
